Kingston, Jamaica. Wednesday, February 19, 2020 … The project happily entitled ‘’Assist a mother’’ was the brainchild of Dionne Harrison a former Circle K member. Ms. Harrison started the project while she was a member of the UWI Circle K movement and decided to continue with the project upon completing her studies at The University of the West Indies.
The aim of the project is to assist new mothers with the requisite materials that is needed to care for their newborn.
The Kiwanis Club of Young Professionals, Kingston took great pleasure in participating in the “Assist a mother” project by providing a monetary contribution to the foundation. Said contribution was presented to Ms. Dionne Harrison at the Kiwanis Club of Young Professionals Kingston's club meeting on Wednesday, February 19, 2020. The contribution was thereafter used to purchase a variety of items that were presented as care packages to five (5) young mothers. The care packages included baby products, such as baby clothes, diapers, wipes, and other related items. Ms. Harrison expressed gratitude on behalf of the foundation and the young women, for the donation.
